Description

 The Infection Control Preventionist Officer (ICPO) supports the Vice President Training, Quality & Compliance and departmental leadership in fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth at Notre Dame Health Care Center.  This role is responsible for evaluating the quality of resident/patient care and outcomes as they relate to Infection Control, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The ICPO will ensure that all employees receive timely and relevant infection control training through scheduled in-services, re-education initiatives, and onboarding experiences that promote excellence, compliance, and engagement.

Requirements
  •  Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (R.N.)   license required. 
  • Minimum of 2 years in an Infection Control or nurse educator role.
  •  Minimum of 2 years working with electronic health records (EHR).
  • Minimum of 3 years experience with electronic learning management systems (LMS).
  • At least 1 year of experience in long-term care or acute healthcare settings.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) preferred.
  •  Excellent written and verbal communication skills   required.



Work Hours and Schedule Expectations

· Standard work hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

· Not required to work on paid holidays.

· Occasional evening, night, or weekend hours may be necessary to support training   sessions and staff development events.
