Position Overview


This role offers the opportunity to work with a sophisticated client base, including health care providers, physician groups, private equity investors, and other businesses operating in the health care sector. The attorney will support transactions ranging from practice acquisitions and joint ventures to large-scale M&A and private equity deals, while also advising clients on health care compliance, licensing, and operational issues.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advise clients on health care transactions, including mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and private equity deals. 
  • Provide counsel on regulatory matters, including Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and other health care compliance matters.
  • Assist with licensing, corporate structuring, and day-to-day operational issues for health care entities.
  • Draft and negotiate transaction, governance, and compliance-related documents.
  • Conduct due diligence and manage regulatory risks in complex health care deals.
  • Stay current on legal developments affecting the health care industry and proactively counsel clients.

Qualifications:

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and active Florida Bar membership (or eligibility for admission).
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in health care law with a strong emphasis on M&A or corporate transactions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute, HIPAA, and other regulatory frameworks.
  • Exceptional analytical, drafting, and legal research skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities, with a client-focused approach.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex matters and deliver high-quality work under deadlines.
