Description

The Supervisor, Shipping oversees daily shipping and receiving operations at our San Diego Warehouse facility to ensure the accurate, timely, and safe movement of finished products. This role is responsible for coordinating team activities, maintaining compliance with shipping and safety standards, and ensuring that all transactions are accurately recorded in the company’s ERP system. The supervisor plays a key role in driving operational efficiency, employee performance, and customer satisfaction through effective leadership and process improvement.

Job Responsibilities:

• Ensure on-time, accurate delivery of products to customers.
• Schedule, assign, and monitor daily workloads, in partnership with logistics teams, to ensure timely and accurate completion of shipping and receiving tasks, with the appropriate staffing levels.
• Oversee all inbound and outbound shipments to verify accuracy, completeness, and condition.
• Ensure all shipping and receiving transactions are properly and promptly recorded in appropriate systems and reports.
• Inspect loading operations to ensure compliance with shipping specifications and safety procedures.
• Monitor, inspect and maintain the condition of material handling equipment weekly, reporting any issues to maintenance. 
• Direct the movement of goods between docks, work areas, and storage locations.
• Lead, train, and evaluate team members to ensure performance, productivity, and compliance with company standards.
• Maintain a safe, organized, clean and efficient shipping/receiving area; enforce safety and operational policies.
• Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Scheduling, and Logistics) to ensure smooth workflow and accurate documentation.
• Maintain compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local shipping and handling regulations.
• Safeguard company assets and inventory through established security and control procedures.

Requirements

 Qualifications (Experience/Education):

• 3+ years of experience in shipping, receiving, or warehouse supervisory role.
• Proven expertise using ERP systems for inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Strong leadership and problem-solving skills; able to make independent decisions and drive accountability.
• Experience implementing or supporting Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement processes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) required.
