What you'll do

As a Service Architect for ServiceNow, you will play a central role in shaping one of our most critical digital platforms. In this position, you will act as the internal design authority responsible for ensuring that the ServiceNow platform evolves in line with our enterprise architecture, operational standards, value realization through licenses and strategies as well as business needs.

You will work closely with our outsourcing partner, serving as a strategic counterpart to their architects. Your focus will be on safeguarding architectural integrity, guiding design decisions, and ensuring that externally developed solutions align with our vision for service modularity and interoperability. Also, you will ensure the platform’s scalability, security, and alignment with business goals across a global organization.

Main responsibilities

• Act as the internal architectural authority for ServiceNow, providing strategic direction and design validation
• Contribute to platform strategy and roadmap by aligning long-term architecture with service evolution
• Define and evolve platform-level design patterns, guardrails, and integration principles
• Review and approve solution designs delivered by external partners, ensuring alignment with our enterprise architecture
• Ensure ServiceNow services are interoperable, maintainable, and scalable, supporting seamless service experiences
• Govern use of platform structures such as data models, workflows, and service hierarchies

• Drive automation transformation by leading adoption of workflow automation, orchestration, and low-code/no-code capabilities cross company
• Championing the adoption of AI and machine learning features to improve user experience, decision-making, and operational efficiency

• Ensure that integrations and automation on the platform are designed to meet performance, compliance, and supportability expectations
• Act as the platform authority in vendor discussions, licensing optimization, and ServiceNow release planning
• Drive architectural convergence by promoting reuse of design patterns and consistency across modules
• Translate business needs and platform vision into architectural requirements for delivery partners
• Drive innovation by staying current on ServiceNow releases, emerging features, and industry best practices

What you'll bring

• Have a strong architectural background with deep expertise in the ServiceNow platform, including its data structures, modular architecture, workflow capabilities, and integration patterns,
• You have worked with ServiceNow for several years in various types of assignments, and you are comfortable initiating and driving change and improvements independently
• Are confident acting as the internal design authority in a fully outsourced delivery model
• Understand how to guide architectural trade-offs to balance long-term maintainability with delivery speed
• Have hands-on experience with data modeling, platform modularity, and design patterns
• Bring an enterprise mindset, thinking beyond individual modules or use cases to support platform-wide scalability
• Communicate clearly and can translate architecture into practical collaboration models with external and internal stakeholders
• Thrive in a platform-centric environment where service integrity, performance, and user experience are key outcomes
