The Cliffs Notes
Kinective, a leading player in the financial technology sector, is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Strategic Account Executive to join our rapidly growing company. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to excel in a role where success is rewarded with an aggressive commission structure.


As a member of our sales team, you will be driving revenue growth through new customer acquisition. You are a seasoned sales professional and accomplished quota buster in the banking and credit union space! You show up with your polished demeanor, capable of opening doors at the executive level of each prospect but remain dedicated to your hunter roots - prospecting and managing your funnel. You are self-motivated with a dedication to managing long, complex sales cycles and building longstanding relationships with your clients.

What you’ll own:

  • Strategic Sales: As the primary sales driver, you will acquire new banking and credit union customers through proactive prospecting and strategic outbound efforts. Engaging key decision-makers, you will leverage industry expertise to deliver tailored technology solutions that drive revenue growth. This role involves developing and executing sales strategies, building stakeholder relationships, negotiating contracts, and closing deals. You will analyze customer data to refine sales approaches, stay informed on industry trends, and ensure seamless post-sales support to drive adoption and retention.
  • Partnership Development: Collaborate with the partnership team to leverage our strategic partnerships and inbound referral leads, securing new clients and exploring growth opportunities. By maximizing partner referrals and fostering new connections, you'll help drive the expansion of our client base within the industry.
  • Prospecting and Lead Generation: You will generate pipeline growth through targeted prospecting, using calls, emails, and personalized outreach to engage high-potential accounts. Attending industry conferences and events, you will increase brand awareness and expand market reach. By leveraging research and refining messaging, you will connect with key decision-makers. Tracking and measuring effectiveness will ensure continuous improvement in outreach efforts and lead conversion.
  • Marketing Support: Collaborate with our marketing team to execute lead generation campaigns, ensuring a consistent flow of leads and opportunities. Your contributions will play a vital role in driving business growth and increasing market visibility while formulating your own direct path to success. The candidate should be capable of constructing compelling presentation decks and contributing to the development of effective sales/marketing collateral. 


What you’re great at:

  • Quota Busting: We are in search of a results-oriented individual with a history of meeting or exceeding quota proven by a track record of staying at least 2-3 years in previous roles.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Creating relationships and building trust and a rapport with almost anyone should be a foundational skill in your arsenal.
  • Self-Motivated: We are looking for someone who is intrinsically motivated, organized, and capable of working autonomously.
  • Sales Methodologies: Proficiency in modern sales methods, including the Challenger Sales method and the Jolt effect, is essential. The candidate should be adept at consultative selling and possess a deep understanding of positioning. 
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail is crucial, ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the sales process and making the difference for potential clients. 
  • Public Speaking: Adept at public speaking, the candidate should be able to articulate ideas clearly and engage audiences effectively.
  • Success-Driven Mindset: We value an aggressive, results-driven mindset in our team members. You should be passionate about winning deals and achieving success. 
  • Quick-to-Adapt: Innate ability to learning new products, skills, and strategies, with the ability to consistently and creatively problem solve to meet the needs of C-suite executive clients and our own ever-evolving business. You should be the kind of person who thrives in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Confident Resilience: Ready to do the work to overcome every setback or challenge with an attitude of positivity and humility.
  • Team Player: Work well with team members and support the success, especially through inspiring an environment of comradery and healthy competition.

Requirements


Necessary Qualifications:

  • 3+ years in Sales Account Executive (or similar) role
  • 3+ years of experience in an outbound sales role
  • Experience in banking preferred (our target audience includes bank and credit union executives)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a strong customer focus, and the ability to think strategically and analytically
  • You are organized and own your KPI’s for success
  • A proven history of exceeding sales targets and ability to articulate wins
  • Prepared to engage in business development activities on a regional and national scale.

The Team

In this role, you would be a part of the Sales team and reporting to our Sales Manager, Mid-Market.


Office Expectation

This role is HYBRID, with an expectation of 3-4 days in-office and minimal travel requirement. Our hours are 8-5pm.
