Cafeteria monitors maintain a safe and orderly cafeteria environment for students and staff.
Functions/Duties/Responsibilities:
The cafeteria monitors are responsible for:
- Keeping a safe and orderly cafeteria environment, i.e., students line up when instructed by monitors, students remain seated while eating, students return trays when instructed by monitors.
- Assisting students in opening food wrappers/containers as well as providing forgotten items from the serving line.
- Circulating in designated areas of the cafeteria.
- Politely and respectfully ask students to clean up their area.
- Stacking trays returning to the dish room.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to hear (40 decibel maximum) and verbally communicate.
Work Environment:
The noise level in this environment is quiet to loud, depending on the activity in the particular part of the day.

Terms of Employment:
Salary, work year, and other terms and conditions of employment as established by contract between Whitehall-Coplay School District, Superintendent, and the Whitehall-Coplay School District Board of Directors.

- Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, lift, reach, communicate (vision, hearing, and speech), carry, or convey sufficient weight to safely and effectively carry out functions, duties, and responsibilities.

- Ability to travel to and from assigned work locations without employer support.
