Salary: Following the established BTEA Collective Bargaining Agreement $7,370 (2025-2026)
Description: Burlington Township School is seeking a motivated and passionate individual to join our Baseball program as an Assistant Coach. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the head coach to develop and implement effective training programs, provide instruction and guidance to student-athletes, and foster a positive and competitive team environment

Responsibilities:
- Assist Coach: Collaborate with the head coach in planning and organizing all aspects of the Baseball program, including practices, games, and team events.
- Player Development: Provide instruction and skill development opportunities to student-athletes, focusing on fundamental volleyball techniques, game strategies, and sportsmanship.
- Practice Planning: Assist in designing and implementing structured practice plans that emphasize individual skill development, team cohesion, and conditioning.
- Game Day Support: Support the head coach during games by providing feedback, encouragement, and strategic input to players, as well as assisting with game management tasks.
- Player Evaluation: Evaluate player performance during practices and games, providing constructive feedback and identifying areas for improvement.
- Team Culture: Foster a positive and inclusive team culture that promotes sportsmanship, teamwork, and mutual respect among players and coaching staff.
- Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with players, parents, and school administration regarding team schedules, expectations, and program updates.
- Player Safety: Ensure the safety and well-being of student-athletes during practices, games, and team travel, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Off-Season Activities: Assist in organizing and supervising off-season training sessions, camps, clinics, and other related activities to support player development and team cohesion.
- Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices in volleyball coaching and player development, participating in coaching clinics, workshops, and professional development opportunities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience playing basebll at the high school or collegiate level preferred.
- Coaching experience at the youth, club, or high school level is desirable.
- Knowledge of volleyball rules, strategies, and techniques.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with student-athletes, parents, and coaching staff.
- Positive attitude, enthusiasm for coaching, and commitment to the development of student-athletes both on and off the court.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a coaching team and support the head coach's vision for the program.
- Availability to attend practices, games, and team events during after-school hours and weekends.
