About the Role:

The Phlebotomist at Larkin Community Hospital (LCH) plays a critical role in the healthcare delivery process by performing blood collection procedures with precision and care. Minimum Qualifications:

• Certification as a Phlebotomy Technician from an accredited program.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting.

Responsibilities:

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection on patients of all ages following established protocols and safety guidelines.

• Maintain cleanliness and sterilization of equipment and work areas to comply with infection control standards.
• Document procedures and maintain accurate records of blood draws and patient interactions in the hospital information system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate specimen collection schedules and address any patient concerns or complications.
