SUMMARY:

Assist the foundry staff with 6S initiatives including creating signage, documenting procedures, purchasing organizational tools and install as required. 

RESPONSIBILITES:

6S:

• Assist the 6S Champion and area representatives with Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain and Safety activities

Signage:

• Create and order signage as instructed by the 6S Champion
• Assist area representatives with signage design
• Install or provide maintenance team with installation instructions

Procedures:

• Create procedures and audits that align with the focus of 6S

QUALIFICATIONS:

Be enrolled in a four-year technical program related to the foundry industry. This position will require extensive computer use. Individuals must be proficient with computers. A good working knowledge of foundry sand and sand testing, along with casting defects, is a plus.
