What We’re Looking For:
The Youth Services Instructor is responsible for delivering Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS) and facilitating the eMPower Club Program for youth aged 12 and up. This role includes supervising and supporting individuals in educational, vocational, and habilitation settings, both during school, after school, and on breaks. The instructor will coordinate activities, provide direct support, and foster personal development through individualized and group programming.
Salary: $14.50/hour
Location: Marion, IN
Hours: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8 hours days *fluctuating hours between 8am-6pm
When working with our eMPower club, you will spend your time:
- Daily Living Support: Assisting with feeding, personal hygiene, and specialized medical care.
- Relationship Building: Developing trusting relationships with individuals served.
- Community Outings: Planning and participating in outings along with helping them engage with the community.
- Life Skills Development: Crafts, games, exercise, and more.
- Transportation: Transporting individuals to and from facilities in compliance with safety regulations.
- Record Keeping: Maintaining timely and accurate records for billing, notes, and other documentation.
When working with our Pre-Employment Transition Services (Pre-ETS), you will spend your time:
· Deliver Pre-ETS curriculum, involving the 5 aspects of that service, in the school setting
· Develop and maintain community partnerships for job shadowing and work-based learning experiences.
· Maintain accurate records, including case notes, billing, progress reports, and assessments.
· Coordinate and implement group and individual activities that promote self-expression, independence, and skill development, including job site walk-throughs.
· Supervise and assist youth in achieving individualized goals.
· Participate in team meetings and contribute to treatment and transition planning with families
· Communicate effectively with students, families, school staff, and community partners

Preferred Occupational Competencies
- I/DD Knowledge: Familiarity with regulations, Medicaid procedures, and waivers (RHS, FSW, OBRA, Group Home); knowledge of INARF.

Requirements
- Passion and love for helping people and making a difference in your community.
- Must pass drug screen, background check, etc.
- Valid Driver's License
- Must be able to meet agency insurability requirements
- Must be able to bend, stoop, or stand for long periods of time. Must also be able to assistance in lifting or transferring individuals to and from wheelchairs. Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment such as, but not limited to: gloves, masks, gowns, face shields, shoes, ear plugs, etc. Must be able to follow all required safe and universal precaution practices during a pandemic and as required otherwise.
