POSITION OVERVIEW
Ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility/campus and other agency portfolio properties in Buffalo NY, including custodial, life-safety, engineering, site services, and general maintenance, are implemented and carried out in a manner consistent with ACACIA policies.
KEY ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
- Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces and general grounds.
- Scheduling routine inspections and emergency repairs with outside vendors.
- Preparing reports on all facilities performance and metrics.
- Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals.
- Maintaining day- to- day operations of facilities, such as delegating or completing maintenance orders.
- Creating reports on maintenance, repairs safety and other occurrences for supervisors and relevant staff.
- Preparing the facilities for changing weather conditions, including timely contractor procurement.
- Collaborating with upper management on budgeting for facility’s needs.
- Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity, etc.) and refurbishments.
- Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards. .
- Inspect buildings’ structures to determine the need for repairs or renovations.
- Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs.
- Supervise all staff facilities, staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors.
- Manage all agency fleet vehicles, including maintenance, repairs, or replacements.
- Maintain supplies and materials to optimal levels.
- Ensure staff has proper uniforms and equipment.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of maintenance equipment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Associate degree required.
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience required.
- Must obtain mandated reporter (2 hours) prior to hire date.

- Extensive knowledge of organizational, community work and/or social service resources and programs.
- Ability to use business acumen to exercise good judgment and decision-making.
- Most work is completed in community, with occasional work done in the office as indicated by supervisor.
- Ability to supervise people and be able to make decisions independently.
- Subject to outside environmental conditions while performing tasks associated with job functions.
- Ability to deal with sensitive issues with diplomacy and discretion.
- Must be able to multitask with strong organization sills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and able to communicate both verbally and in written form.
