Duties and Responsibilities
Incumbent may perform any combination of the tasks listed below:
- Assists in development of standards-compliant websites and blogs using HTML, CSS and other appropriate applications and software.
- Assists in production of email and web templates, and static and animated banners.
- Performs a variety of tasks relating to front-end web and multimedia support including but not limited to Canva, Frontify, Adobe Creative Suite, converting mock-ups of websites to a working webpage with valid codes, and conducts cross-browser testing and implementation.
- Uses content management systems for posting content, photos, videos and other materials to the website.
- Utilizes various applications to create web and multimedia projects of a highly sophisticated nature.
- Assists in the creation of interfaces, animations, graphics and videos.
- Creates custom web pages and other materials using new and existing templates.
- Assists with day-to-day management of CTA websites, including the posting of routine changes and updating copy and materials.
- Creates, develops and produces copy materials for use on all CTA websites, CTA-supported websites and other projects.
- Edits and proofreads a variety of documents, including website and video content with attention to grammar, punctuation, spelling and style.
- Understands the use of website and search analytics.
- Researches, suggests and helps to implement new website and social media topics to improve the user experience by keeping abreast of changes in technology.
- Uses appropriate research tools and systems.
- Arranges meetings and conferences, prepares materials for duplication and performs other logistical duties as assigned.
- Prepares, compiles, and maintains files, reports and records as needed.
- Composes and prepares correspondence for the Associate Executive Director and CRD staff.
- Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
Qualifications - Minimum Required
- Bachelor's degree & 1 year relevant experience, or Associate degree & 3 years relevant experience or High School diploma/GED & 6 years relevant experience.
- Experience and strong knowledge of current web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.) and visual development frameworks and software (WordPress, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.).
- Knowledge of current and commonly used web trends, resources and multimedia concepts and practices, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO) best practices, Sitecore experience a plus.
- Ability to follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform functions of the job.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise planning, coordinating and follow through skills as applied to large complex logistical projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to work cooperatively with fellow employees, leadership and management in a complex interdependent organization structure.
- Ability to learn and communicate CTA structure, policies, and procedures.
- Computer proficiency and the ability to learn and use the Association’s software programs.
- Exceptional attention to detail and consistency.
- Able to work overtime as needed.
- Able to travel as needed.
* This position is in a bargaining unit represented by CAS. Salaries are established by a collective bargaining agreement. Step placement is also determined by the CTA/CAS Agreement.
