Responsibilities of a Body Shop Alignment and Frame Technician entail:

• Accurately measure frames for mash, side sway, collapse, and diamond conditions
• Complete alignments, section frames at factory specked areas, repair or replace defective mechanical parts
• Repair, replace, and/or straighten frame rails. Straighten bent frames with frame straightening machine to factory specifications
• Visually inspect parts after processing for defects. Identify nonconforming or defective components and take appropriate corrective action
• Balance wheel assembly and apply weights as necessary
• Operate a wheel polishing machine utilizing compound, buffing pads and a control panel
• Communicate with parts personnel to order correct parts for the repair
• Clean and treat wheels using a pressurized washer
• Perform routine maintenance on polishing machines, including daily cleaning and routine lubrication
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

The requirements to be a Body Shop Alignment and Frame Technician:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Relatable experience preferred
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain a DOT medical card
