THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:

THE MECHANICAL ENGINEER WILL:
- Validate designs of mechanical coil handling and feeding machines using calculations and solid modeling techniques in SolidWorks software,
- Compute necessary engineering calculations for project specifications,
- Monitor compliance to applicable codes, practices, quality policies, and performance standards,
- Create drawings, Bill of Materials, and manufacturing process documentation,
- Provide technical support and assistance to internal and external customers,
- Lead project team to ensure project is completed on time and budget,
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Machining, Fabrication, and Assembly Departments to support projects through the build stage,
- Support current standard mechanical designs used for customer solutions and provide alternatives for future improved mechanical components and designs.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering field or equivalent industry experience
- 5-7 years in design and development of industrial machinery
- Familiarity with manufacturing and machining techniques
- Experience using SolidWorks solid modeling software (including Finite Element Analysis)
- Strong core competence in math, metallurgy, and properties of materials
- Time management and organization skills
- Experience in using Microsoft Office: Excel, Word and Outlook
