About the Position
The Director of Education plays a vital role in supporting our Academic Department across multiple centers. This position is ideal for a passionate educator who thrives in classroom environments and is committed to mentoring teachers, enhancing curriculum delivery, and implementing effective behavioral strategies.
This role is classroom-focused, with approximately 80% of time spent in early learning classrooms, modeling best practices and coaching teachers. The remaining time is dedicated to administrative tasks, data analysis, and professional development planning.
Essential Functions
- Conduct classroom observations and develop behavior intervention plans.
- Mentor teachers on curriculum implementation, lesson planning, and assessments.
- Lead professional development sessions in collaboration with the Spiritual Development Department.
- Rotate daily between centers to provide on-site coaching and support.
- Track and analyze academic and behavioral data to inform strategies.
- Ensure centers meet licensing and accreditation standards.
- Support onboarding and training of new team members.
- Maintain certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).
- Complete 30 hours of annual training in adult learning, child development, and licensing requirements.

Requirements
Required Education and Experience
- Minimum 2 years of experience in behavior management or curriculum implementation.
- Minimum 2 years of experience coaching and mentoring teachers.
- Meets DFPS caregiver education and experience requirements.
- The Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential or Higher Education in a related field.
Preferred Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
- Certification in behavior management (e.g., RBT).
- Experience in childcare administration or center leadership.
