About the Role
The Floor & Bar All-Rounder is responsible for delivering attentive, proactive, and personalised service on the floor while maintaining strong competency behind the bar. This dual role plays a key part in ensuring seamless guest experiences through genuine engagement, efficient table service, and confident food and beverage knowledge, including the preparation of classic and contemporary cocktails when required.

You're a confident, outgoing hospitality professional with solid experience on the floor and behind the bar. Skilled in cocktail preparation, table service, and guest engagement, you thrive in fast-paced environments and deliver seamless, memorable experiences. You anticipate guest needs, communicate clearly, and bring energy, professionalism, and genuine warmth to every shift.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in premium casual dining or cocktail-focused venues
- Intermediate level cocktail preparation skills with proficiency in classic & contemporary techniques
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Impeccable attention to detail and presentation
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and guest engagement
- RSA certification required; Basic Food Safety preferred
- Flexible availability, Wednesday to Friday
- Australian work rights are required for this position
Key Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Floor Service
- Deliver attentive service to all guests, providing genuine hospitality
- Maintain thorough knowledge of menus, including pairings and allergens
- Support efficient table turnover
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar to ensure smooth service flow
Bar Service & Beverage Knowledge
- Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, & other beverages to standard
- Assist with stock rotation, inventory checks, and bar preparation before & after service
- Maintain and expand knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine
Front-of-House & Operations
- Process orders & payments
- Assist with opening and closing procedures
- Uphold venue presentation, cleanliness, and safety standards
- Lead by example in professionalism, grooming, and attention to detail
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with bar, kitchen, and management teams to ensure smooth service & team efficiency
- Be flexible and willing to assist across all areas of the venue
- Attend team meetings and contribute ideas of improvement for operations
Work Health & Safety
- Maintain and enforce safe work practices, ensuring WHS standards are met
- Ensure compliance with Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) and food safety requirements
- Report hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues
- Promote a safe and supportive work environment for all
