Role Description
We are seeking a dynamic Business Manager to serve as a strategic business partner, driving the execution of key initiatives while ensuring operational excellence and financial accountability.
The Business Manager acts as the operational backbone for the Technology, Operations, and Delivery functions respectively— ensuring that priorities, plans, governance, financials, and communications are effectively coordinated and executed in support of the Group Heads.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution
Partner with Technology business leaders to develop and refine strategic initiatives aligned with FNZ's overall objectives
Drive end-to-end execution of Technology strategic projects, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope
Create detailed Technology project plans, identify dependencies, and manage cross-functional workstreams
Monitor progress against strategic KPIs and provide regular updates to stakeholders
Business Performance Management
Lead monthly/quarterly business reviews for Group Technology, preparing comprehensive performance dashboards and insights
Analyse business metrics, identify trends, and recommend corrective actions or optimization opportunities
Facilitate review meetings with Technology senior leadership members, ensuring actionable outcomes and follow-up
Develop and maintain standardized reporting frameworks across the business unit
Financial Planning & Cost Management
Collaborate with Technology business owners to develop annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
Track and analyze Technology cost performance against budget, identifying variances and underlying drivers
Partner with Finance teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance
Support business case development for new initiatives, including ROI analysis and risk assessment
Stakeholder Management & Communication
Serve as primary liaison between the Group Technology Function and corporate functions (Finance, HR, Legal, IT)
Build strong relationships across all organizational levels to facilitate smooth project execution
Communicate complex business information clearly to diverse audiences
Coordinate with other Technology Managers to share best practices and ensure consistency
Excellent project management capabilities with experience using project management tools
Experience required
Requirements:
Essential Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or related field
3-5 years of experience in Fintech / IT business management, strategy consulting, or financial planning roles
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modeling and data analysis
Advanced Excel skills; experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau) preferred
Key Skills & Competencies:
Broad business management expertise across multiple function in Tech company
Strategic thinking with ability to translate vision into executable plans
Strong financial acumen and understanding of P&L management
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Proven ability to influence and collaborate across all organizational levels
Results driven, detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or professional qualification (CFA, CPA, CIMA)
Experience in financial services or fintech industry
Knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial services
Experience with process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma)
