Meyer Utility Structures, an Arcosa subsidiary, is searching for a Lead Instrument Technician for our plant located in Ft. Worth, TX. As a Lead Instrument Technician at Meyer Utility Structures, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that your team’s daily work assignments are completed in accuracy on time and in a safe manner. You will be expected to lead by example, be proactive in identifying and solving problems, and act with the utmost levels of integrity and safety.

With over sixty years of innovative engineering and manufacturing expertise, Meyer has helped to author and validate many of today’s transmission industry standards and specifications.
Schedule- Mon-Fri 5am-3:30pm with occasional Saturdays as needed.
What You’ll Do:
- Determine causes of and solutions for operating problems in manufacturing machinery, electrical systems/components, plumbing systems, HVAC, carpentry, electrical fixtures/switches/power sources, and mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment
- Use blueprints, schematics, small/power tools, and electronic test equipment to perform a variety of maintenance tasks
- Lay out, build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify production electronic components, parts, switch panels, electronic equipment, and systems
- Wiring and programming of electronics and control boxes with PLC and CNC programming
- Make electronic, mechanical, or electrical repairs on all computer-controlled equipment
- May be required to perform Equipment Technician work as needed
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- May be involved in safety committees or initiatives
What You’ll Need:
- Minimum of 10 years of relevant and applicable experience in a maintenance position in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment
- Expert level understanding and experience diagnosing and correcting issues with of PLC, CNC or VFD programming
- Ability to read and troubleshoot PLC programming at an advanced level
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics at an advanced level
- Expert knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems/components, HVAC, carpentry, welding machinery, and handheld power tools
- Experience with AccuPress, Kinetic, and/or Alltra machinery
- The ability to maintain reliable and predictable good attendance
- A high level of dependability, a great attitude, and an ability to work well with a team towards achieving a common goal
