Job Description:The Opportunity:
Mattel, Inc., the largest toy company in the world is seeking a Sr Sales Analyst for the Walmart and Walmart.com businesses. The Sr Sales Analyst is responsible for supporting and providing the team/company/customer with knowledge and insights driven strategies and tactics to maximize category growth. This position is also responsible for overseeing the collection, analysis, and reporting of market, consumer, and shopper data related to the channel in an effort to increase category sales, customer satisfaction, and ROI. The position will drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting and be expected to provide ongoing enhancements to regular and adhoc reports.
This position will be based in our Rogers, Arkansas Sales office.
What Your Impact Will Be:
Data analysis and reporting
- Generate performance reports: Create and deliver regular weekly and monthly reports on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as point-of-sale (POS) data, inventory levels, and sales trends.
- Analyze market trends: Use data from Walmart's Scintilla, Tableau, and data sources to analyze market trends, track competitor activity, and identify growth opportunities.
- Develop presentations: Translate complex data into compelling, fact-based "selling stories" for internal teams and to use in presentations for Walmart Merchants, Planners, and Replenishment Managers
Sales and promotional strategy
- Support new product launches: Track the performance of new items, compare results against forecasts, and provide analytics to support distribution and placement.
- Influence strategies: Use sales and consumer data to provide insights on pricing, product placement, and merchandising that support the supplier's sales strategy.
Inventory and supply chain management
- Review inventory levels: Collaborate with Mattel’s replenishment and supply chain teams to optimize inventory levels, reducing out-of-stock and overstock issues.
- Assist with logistical issues: Identify and address supply chain disruptions, forecast inaccuracies, and order exceptions to ensure a smooth flow of goods.
Cross-functional collaboration
- Partner with Walmart: Serve as a key point of contact for Walmart Merchants, building and maintaining strong, transparent working relationships.
- Work with internal teams: Collaborate with internal sales directors, marketing, and supply chain teams to provide analytical support for long-term strategies and business plans.
Process improvement
- Streamline processes: Develop best practices, create standardized operating procedures, and leverage automated reporting tools to improve efficiency.
- Enhance analytics capabilities: Stay updated on industry trends and drive new analytical initiatives to enhance the supplier's reporting and forecasting capabilities.
- Serve as the analytical leader for the team
- Other assigned duties as assigned from Team Leader.
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum of 4 years CPG analytical experience including working with multiple data sources.
- Self-motivated, self-starter, strong work ethic
- Passion to contribute at a high level in a team atmosphere
- High level of integrity and attention to detail
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Advanced abilities with Retail Link, MS Excel, MS Access, MS PowerPoint, Tableau, NPD, etc..
- Presentation skills and proven ability to convey complex analytics into actionable task
- Proactive and willing to take on new projectsDemonstrated a growth mindset by staying curious and continuously learning, embracing challenges, and improving themselves.
*The pay range is indicative of projected hiring range, however base pay will be determined based on a candidate’s work location, skills and experience.
