Description

Small Animal Veterinarian – Ascot Veterinary Surgery (Brisbane, QLD)

Are you ready to join a well-established clinic with a strong community presence and a supportive, experienced team?

At Ascot Veterinary Surgery, we’re proud to have been providing high-quality, compassionate care to the pets of Brisbane’s northside for over 25 years. Located in the leafy suburb of Ascot, our clinic offers the perfect balance of professional opportunity and lifestyle — close to the CBD, yet nestled in a relaxed and friendly neighbourhood.

We’re looking for a full-time Small Animal Veterinarian to join our close-knit team. Whether you're seeking to grow your clinical skills, enjoy a varied caseload, or work in a practice that truly values work-life balance, this could be the role for you.

What You’ll Be Doing Day to Day:
  • As a Small Animal Veterinarian at Ascot, no two days will look the same. You'll enjoy a rewarding and diverse caseload, including:
  • Consulting with clients and delivering high-quality care to their pets
  • Performing both routine and complex surgeries (including desexing and soft tissue procedures)
  • Using advanced diagnostics such as in-house pathology and digital radiography
  • Providing preventative healthcare, including vaccinations, wellness checks, and parasite control
  • Educating and supporting pet owners, building trusted long-term relationships
  • Collaborating with a skilled and dedicated nursing team
  • Maintaining accurate clinical records and contributing to a smooth-running workflow
  • This is a role where you’ll be supported to grow your skills, contribute your ideas, and make a real impact in the lives of pets and their families.
Benefits You’ll Enjoy:

  • Competitive salary based on your experience and skills
  • CPD support – generous allowance + paid study leave
  • Free access to VetPartners’ Veterinary Training Centre: veterinarytrainingcentre.com.au
  • Wellbeing support – including Fitness Passport, Medibank corporate cover, and the VetPartners Wellbeing Gateway
  • Work-life balance – with flexible rosters to suit your lifestyle
  • Additional perks – paid parental leave, discounts at 80+ retailers via Flare, and novated leasing options
  • Relocation assistance available for interstate or international candidates

About You:

  • A qualified Veterinarian, registered (or eligible for registration) with the Veterinary Surgeons Board of Queensland
  • Ideally 3+ years’ experience in small animal practice (though vets at various career stages are welcome to apply)
  • A great communicator and team player who values building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike
