Automation Technician presso Atlas Molded Products

Atlas Molded Products is seeking an Automation Technician for the Byron Center, MI facility.

Automation Technician Primary Responsibilities

• Test electronic or electrical circuits and connections
• Make changes and additions to ladder logic using a variety of PLC software
• Update controls on existing equipment (may require the use of PLC)
• Use hand and power tools
• Use Multimeter and other testing devices
• Program VFD
• Document and understand control schematics
• Modify HMI displays
• Control and maintain access into PLC and other computer-controlled machinery
• Adjust or set mechanical controls or components

Automation Technician Experience

• Prior experience in a manufacturing / industrial environment preferred.

Automation Technician Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Must understand ladder and controls logic
• Must have proficient troubleshooting skills using a variety of PLC software
• Must have general understanding of the manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.

Automation Technician Education, Licenses & Certifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Automation Technician Additional Information

• Moderate to heavy physical effort required including sitting, standing, walking, kneeling.
• Machine specific knowledge in:
• Siemens
• Automation Direct
• Allen Bradley
• Mitsubishi
