We are looking for a motivated Capital Markets Senior Advisor in our Corporate Finance & Insurance division within Corporate Treasury. 

The Senior Advisor plays a critical role in advancing Chevron’s corporate finance and treasury objectives. This position is responsible for developing and executing financing strategies, managing the debt portfolio—including due diligence and compliance—and leading debt capital market transactions. The role also provides Treasury expertise on M&A and investment activities, oversees the execution of the share repurchase program, and contributes to organizational capability through mentoring and leadership.

Work Schedule: full-time with opportunity to work modified schedules (e.g., “9/80” schedule with alternate Fridays off). Hybrid work schedule with 4 days in office per week with option of remote work on Fridays. 

Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to:

Corporate Financing Strategy

  • Develop and implement financing strategies aligned with Chevron’s financial priorities and Treasury principles.
  • Act as the primary contact for Treasury-related inquiries, including debt financing, leasing, valuation, and M&A due diligence.
  • Monitor market trends and provide strategic insights to senior management.

Capital Markets Execution

  • Support the sourcing, structuring, and execution of capital markets transactions in collaboration with banking partners and legal counsel.
  • Negotiate and structure terms for debt agreements, guarantees, and related financial instruments.
  • Manage and expand tax-exempt financing strategies to optimize funding costs.
  • Oversee execution of the share repurchase program.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Partner cross-functionally across Tax, Treasury, Controllers, Digital, and Business teams to deliver exceptional results.
  • Prepare and deliver reports and presentations for senior management and executive stakeholders.
  • Build and maintain strong external relationships with banking partners and rating agencies.

Digital Enablement

  • Champion the use of digital tools and data-driven solutions to enhance financial decision-making, streamline processes, and deliver measurable business impact.
  • Collaborate with internal digital teams to identify opportunities for automation, visualization, and analytics.

Leadership & Development

  • Mentor Treasury team members and actively promote organizational capability and professional development.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, collaboration, and innovation within the finance organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematic, Business Administration, or a related discipline
  • 8+ years of professional experience in Treasury, Finance, or Investment Banking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated expertise in capital markets, fixed income instruments, and related modeling practices.
  • Background working in or with multinational organizations.
  • Proven experience overseeing and executing share repurchase programs.
  • High proficiency in analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines.
  • Self-starter with a strategic mindset—able to see the big picture while managing the details.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills—comfortable engaging with senior management and tailoring messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Passion for leveraging digital tools and data-driven insights to drive enhancements, innovation, and measurable results
  • Passion for mentoring and developing junior team members.
