Shift Information:

First Shift/Days

Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm

(Overtime as needed; some occasional Saturdays; 9 hour day 8am-5:30pm; 10 hour day would be 7am-5:30pm)

How Will You Make an Impact?:

This isn’t your ordinary job. As a Material Handler 2 you will help deliver various types of products from life-saving personal protective equipment to everyday lab essentials. You will provide shipping, receiving, storage and order fulfillment services for finished goods, inventory, materials, supplies, parts and equipment.

A Day in the Life:

  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements
  • Sustain a high level of quality to ensure customers receive accurate product and in the time requested.
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily.
  • Verify the quality, type and number of materials received are accurate and appropriate documentation is present (e.g. packing list).
  • Safely operate distribution equipment, as required.

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience:

Band 1 (Distribution):

  • Required: No previous work experience required
  • Preferred: Experience in distribution, warehouse or supply chain or related field
  • Preferred: Experience with powered industrial trucks (order pickers)
  • Must be able to pass a required background check

Physical Requirements / Work Environmen

  • Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 40 lbs.
  • Will work in the cold room, freezer, and ambient sections of the warehouse depending on business need.
  • Able to work on your feet for up to 10 hours a day.

  • Competitive Hourly Pay Rate starting at $19.50/hr

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Maryland is $13.82–$23.04.
