The YMCA of Greater Richmond is currently seeking part-time CDL bus drivers to safely transport children to and from our school programs. Looking for drivers within and/or around the Greater Richmond area. This position has limited hours.
Position Overview:
We are seeking dependable and safety-minded individuals to serve as Substitute Bus Drivers. This is a new initiative designed to provide coverage when regular drivers are out due to vacation, illness, or other absences. Substitute drivers will not have a permanent route but will step in as needed.
Key Details:
- Hours: Vary depending on coverage needs.
- Routes/Locations: Will vary based on assigned coverage.
- Schedule: On-call/flexible; assignments provided as staff needs arise.
QUALIFICATIONS for CDL
- Valid CDL Commonwealth of Virginia driver's license
- Good driving record
- Endorsements P and S
- Be at least 21 years old
- High school diploma or GED
- Airbrake endorsements
We are also looking for candidates with strong communication, organization, and interpersonal skills as they will be essential in this role. Must be willing to drive routes for all Y branches in the Richmond area.
