Job Description
The Highlands at Brighton, a transitional and long term care nursing facility, has an exciting opportunity for a Cook. We offer excellent pay and benefits including:

- Pay range $17/hr.-$25.50/hr.
Schedule: Every Other Weekend, 6am-2pm and 10am-6pm (rotating weekends)
Responsibilities:
•Prepare, cook, and serve hot and cold food items in accordance with established menus or specific diets
•Plan menus, complete food requisitions, and maintain inventory records as needed
•Supervise the activities of workers who assist in preparing, portioning and serving meals
•Supervise and participate in the preparation, seasoning and cooking of soups, broths, sauces, gravies, vegetables, salads, dressings, desserts, and other food items for consumption in the facility
•Supervise and participate in cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment, inspection of work areas, preservation and storage of leftover food
Work Shift
Job Requirements
•Large quantity cooking experience in a restaurant, hotel or institutional setting required; minimum of one (1) year of experience preferred.
•Completion of a culinary certification preferred.
