• Must be able to speak, read, write English and have excellent math and writing skills.
• Must have excellent problem solving, analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills that promotes food safety and quality throughout the organization.
• Experience with implementation and administration of Quality Assurance metrics including, but not limited to GMP, SSOP, HACCP and other pre-requisite programs.
• Must have a priority for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product food safety, quality and reliability.
• Ability to work closely with USDA/FSIS staff and ensures that the plant complies with USDA regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities 

1. Reports directly to the Quality Assurance Manager.  
2. Directly supervises Quality Assurance Supervisors and Technicians.
3. Responsible for ensuring that Quality Assurance Techs are trained on all plant policies and procedures, pre-requisite programs and assist in managing the overall performance of the Food Safety & Quality department.
4. Review data and generate reports concerning food safety & quality to the management team.
