Energy Reporting Analyst

We are hiring an Energy Reporting Analyst who will provide support to Colorado Springs Utilities through the development and timely and accurate completion of routine and ad-hoc financial, operational, and market reporting, as well as assisting with the completion of regulatory reporting to various State and Federal agencies. Working with both internal and external stakeholders, this person will shape the way Fuels and Purchase Power shares and disseminates information internally regarding FPP’s market operations and their financial impacts to the Enterprise.
What will you be doing?
- Develop, maintain, improve, and perform routine report generation and disseminate said reports across the Enterprise
- Work closely with FPP personnel and our Financial Business Partner to ensure financial forecasts are reflective of FPP operations
- Respond to internal inquiries related to the data and information generated and used by FPP
- Assist with the timely and accurate completion of all required Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), Energy Information Agency (EIA), and Western Energy Coordinating Council (WECC) regulatory filings
- Assisting with the design and implementation of additional reports needed, as well as developing new reports’ process documentation
Who You Are
- Advanced Excel skills are highly desired
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric and SQL is desired
- Experience with Power BI and other data visualization and reporting software preferred
- A bachelor's Degree in Business, Applied Statistics, Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field is valued
- Knowledge of electric and gas utility operations, including power production, power delivery, and related fuel and power market operations, is valued
- Ability to collaborate across organizational groups while looking for opportunities to improve our systems and processes
- Strong detail orientation, organizational skills, and a drive to document workflow processes

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
