Position Summary:
Overseen by the Senior Manager of Revenue Control, the Senior Client Compliance Coordinator is responsible for the daily setup, review, and maintenance of the 3E master files. The Senior Client Compliance Coordinator is the main contact for the Firm’s billing departments with regard to troubleshooting and setting up electronic billing for clients and supporting all key phases of 3E Master Files. Frequently interacts and communicates with the remainder of the Accounting Department and 3E users, including Firm Partners and business services professionals.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Respond and resolve inquiries from legal staff (Partners and Associates) and business services professionals (3E users) with day-to-day queries pertaining to the 3E Master Files function.
- Responsible for setting up, reviewing, and maintaining the integrity of the Firm’s master files in 3E (timekeeper, client/matter information).
- Provides support to the firm’s e-Billing function. Acts as a point of contact with vendors to onboard new clients to the eBilling platforms.
- Serve as a support for Matter/Timekeeper/Client/Rate/e-Billing/LEDES file-related issues.
- Reviews Outside Counsel Guidelines to ensure client/matters/timekeepers are appropriately set up and ensures all engagement terms are set up in 3E.
- Implementing the set-up of complex rate arrangements in 3E and ensuring all client matter rates are compliant.
- Assist in managing the administration of the Firm’s e-Billing timekeeper rate submissions, including the maintenance of the firm’s internal tracking system (MeBa).
- Coordinates with other administrative departments in the management of the new matter intake process.
- Assist Client Compliance Manager with ad hoc projects as and when required.
- Trains new and existing staff.
Qualifications:
Education: BA/BS in Accounting or Information Systems majors preferred.
Experience: 3E experience required, preferably in a law firm.
Skills & Abilities:
The primary is the ability and willingness to learn various accounting systems, including 3E. Must be organized and have strong attention to detail. Must be able to work both in a dynamic team environment and also often work independently without supervision. Must be completely reliable, and dependable, with a strong work ethic and a high degree of integrity. Ability to use own initiative and have a proactive approach, and good time management skills. Ability to produce and maintain quality work. Must be able to communicate effectively with attorneys, administrative, and management staff, both orally and in writing. Basic to intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Elite accounting system and electronic billing processes a plus. All positions require punctuality and regular attendance.
