Patient Representative
1. Coordinate specialty medication program for Infusion Clinic to ensure clinic is ordering and receiving patient medication prior to infusion services as needed.
2. Outside Infusion referrals gather all notes, labs and imaging necessary for infusion appointments, provide patient education and scheduling for these referrals.
3. Assist patients with co-pay assistance program. Provide co-pay assistance information to billing to ensure payment through the program is covered and paid.
4. Foundation coordination to qualifying patient’s. Provide education and guidance to patient’s or patient family on how these programs work to ensure patient’s receive medications at no cost. Ensure all documents are submitted properly and are up to date; medications are received from foundation prior to patient infusion or injection; manage medication refills; and yearly re-enrollment into the program.
5. Work closely with billing to ensure all infusion services are being covered and paid.
6. New infusion drug coordination ensures New drugs can be infused in our facility, making sure J code can be billed and covered by insurance and coordinating necessary training or programs for staff for education on the new drug.
7. Ensure all provider orders are up to date prior to infusion.
8. Assist in implementing workflows and processes.
9. Drug Rep communication and scheduling of drug rep education and in services.
10. Participate in Safety Committee for Outpatient Services as needed.
11. Responsible for ordering office supplies and dietary services, etc.
12. Provide administrative support as needed.
13. Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
14. Coordinate new drug services into Infusion Clinic.
15. Ensure all provider orders are up to date prior to infusion.
16. Communicate with drug rep and schedule drug rep education and in-services.
Medical Office Specialist
1. Oversight of the medical office.
2. May provide training for other employees in a related role.
3. Provide support of projects and clerical expertise, demonstrating strong communication skills both oral and written.
4. Provide efficiencies in scheduling and managing patients and scheduling of appointments.
5. Develop strong organizational structure, workflow and operating procedures for medical practice.
6. Knowledge of medical practice principles, practices and procedures.
7. As directed by Supervisor, develop or assist in the implementation of policies and procedures that are consistent to those of Family Health West, to ensure efficient and safe operation of the practice’s outpatient services.
8. Provide credentialing matters related to physicians and any other business matters related to staff privileges to the Credentialing Specialist.
9. Promote existing and new programs and/or policies of Family Health West and the outpatient clinics both internally and externally, exhibiting professional and respectful behavior to others at all times.
10. As directed by Supervisor, oversee on any one or more specified operating and/or service activities within outpatient services.
11. Assist with patient intake, registration, escorting and assisting physician with duties as assigned within scope of practice.
12. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility.
13. Other job related duties as assigned.
Wage starts at $18.50 and goes up with experience
Hours = 7 am - 5 pm (36-40 hours per week)
