The Opportunity:

 

The Warehouse Lead is responsible for planning, coordinating, and actively participating in daily warehouse operations. Key responsibilities include overseeing the receipt of raw materials and packaging components, storage and shipment of finished goods, and management of inventory through the warehouse management system. The Warehouse Lead also ensures the efficient movement of materials and products within the facility, maintaining accurate and up-to-date date inventory records. In addition, this role provides guidance and support to warehouse staff, fostering a safe, efficient, and organized work environment. This role report directly to the Warehouse Supervisor.


What You’ll Do:

  • Maintain and present scorecard/metrics/demand forecasts that track progress/challenges/future growth for dedicated accounts.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in one or more warehouse functions, including receiving, picking, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound product movement is accurately inventoried, safely stored, and secured in the proper warehouse locations.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments and supervisors to ensure orders are fulfilled and scheduled.
  • Oversee the flow of inventory through the warehouse by verifying that all transfers, records, and storage activities are accurate and up to date.
  • Support Purchasing, Account Managers, Quality Assurance, Production, and Front Office staff with critical shipments to ensure on time delivery and meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in loading and unloading company trucks and verify shipping and delivery documentation. 
  • Prepare and coordinate the staging of kits for manufacturing and packaging.
  • Assist in training warehouse employees to ensure proficiency and high performance across assigned tasks.
  • Coordinate with logistics supervisor for scheduling pickups and deliveries; verify all shipment paperwork is accurate and complete prior to dispatch or receipt.
  • Perform physical job requirements, including lifting up to 50 lbs. and standing for extended periods as needed.
  • Ensure daily housekeeping and cleanliness standards are maintained in the warehouse.
  • Coordinate work schedules with the Warehouse Supervisor and provide recommendations regarding overtime needs and temporary staffing.

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • 3-5 years of warehouse operations experience, including receiving, shipping, inventory control, and material handling.
  • 1-2 years in a lead, coordinator, or supervisory role preferred, with proven ability to train, guide, and support team members.
  • Demonstrated experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment; forklift certification strongly preferred.
  • Strong track record of promoting and maintaining workplace safety.
  • Experience in warehouse management systems (WMS) and cycle counting/inventory control processes.

 A reasonable estimate of the current base pay range for this position is $28.00 to $32.00. The compensation offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and/or education.
