Represents the Supply Chain department by providing analysis support for both internal and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Creates, maintains, generates, publishes, and interprets various supply chain related analysis reports, both recurring and ad hoc.
- Assists in the development of accurate, high quality forecast taking into consideration all promotional activities and other causal factors. Creates/utilizes spreadsheets that capture performance versus metrics for the organization by combining data from multiple sources. Creates/utilizes workbooks to adjust out of stock raw materials, sale products, overruns, and sales purchase orders.
- Explains and provides support to users of the various reports and analytics generated on how to interpret the information. Embraces a philosophy of continuous improvement, constantly striving to improve the relevance and usability of department and company level analysis and management reporting.
- Creates specialized supply chain reports for top management analytical purposes, including creating professionally formatted reports and presentations. Participates and presents in meetings as needed.
- Creates inventory tracking tools, with information imported from databases to support internal and external partners. Develops and/or researches tools to enhance technological resources for supply chain needs. Conducts regular follow-up with internal external partners’ regarding the status of raw materials, such as packaging and ingredients.
- Provides product development and private label research support for the Contract Manufacturing Manager.
- Investigates and resolve problems with vendors for any material/product defects, delivery shortages, or invoice discrepancies.
- Requests, receives and analyzes quotes for business supplies. Prepares specification requests for quotation and/or bids, including creating comparison spreadsheet for review and preparing supplier contract documentation; i.e. purchase orders and/or release orders.
- Works in conjunction with the supply chain team members, supporting each other in maintaining a team environment and ensuring success for the department and the company.
- Maintains confidentiality of Company and Purchasing information.
Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent, bachelor's degree preferred.
- 1-3 years related experience required; 3 years plus preferred.
- Microsoft Office Suite intermediate experience required.
- Demonstrated experience to work independently or as a team
- Demonstrated organization, attention to detail and time management skills.
- Recognized as one who is proactive in problem-solving and works towards creative solutions.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal/external customers.
- Requires strong problem-solving ability and strong analytic skills.
