Job Description:
Core Duties and Responsibilities
Reviewing/conducting Level 1 review of alerts generated from sanctions, blacklist, and watch lists screening of client related names
Responsible for identifying hits which warrant additional research, and escalating potential adverse findings to the Lead KYC Specialist for further action
Performing control reconciliation functions of daily reviews to ensure all hits are addressed/escalated
Ensuring that policies and procedures are adhered to on a daily basis and have this evidenced
Developing an understanding of AML/OFAC requirements and implications.
Identifying problem items and escalating to the Lead KYC Specialist or another supervisor as necessary
Staying abreast of regulatory changes and AML-related news, with an emphasis on sanctions-related developments
Possesses and exhibits an interest in his/her own personal development by:
Proactively reviewing his/her own work on a regular basis and asking for feedback from management
Actively seeks new challenges and/or additional responsibilities
Possess and consistently leverage upon strong communication skills – both inter- and intra-team
Communicate professionally and constructively to effectively resolve issues in a timely and efficient manner
Understands and supports team and/or business goals as outlined by a supervisor
Demonstrate a firm understanding of client concerns and requirements
Comply, follow, and enforce the implementation of processes, standards, values of Blue Umbrella as outlined in training, policies and staff manuals.
