Join our team as the Laboratory Technician for our Power Electronics testing sector, where you will follow defined test plans and operate simple test equipment to test customer's samples. If you have experience and/or background related to Power Electronics (e.g., Power Circuits) - this is an ideal job for you!

Responsibilities

  • Supports the testing process in UL Laboratory by examination of test samples, reading blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams, measuring instruments and operational instructions.
  • Supports the evaluation of test performance and reviewing test and construction data with supervisor.
  • Builds and/or adapts setup and test equipment based on data sheets and instructions from Engineering department.
  • Operates designated machines and special laboratory test equipment.
  • Reports data to Engineers and other laboratory staff based on the instructions received.
  • Supports Engineers in communication with clients during the setup and performance of a test to demonstrate equipment test methods and/or to discuss test results.
  • Records observed or calculated data on appropriate UL forms and preparing data sheets and test reports.
  • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.

Qualifications

  • Technical High School, ideally related to Electrical and/or Electronics field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of working experience in the same type of role, or in other technical positions related to Power Electronics.
  • Fluent Spanish language and good level of spoken and written English.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation.
  • A driver's license (mandatory requirement) and availability to work outside the office if required.
