Job Description:

This “Lead, Mobilization Enablement EMEA” supports Talent Access and Mobilization, BUHR, People Leaders, Talent Acquisition and Mobile Employees within the assigned region. This role actively partners with the GS IA Specialist to coordinate and execute within their assigned region the internal processes to initiate, execute and repatriate international assignments, helping our customers to navigate the talent mobilization ecosystem, the enterprise matrix. The role also involves partnering with leaders and HR to ensure the right Mobility policy is selected based on business objectives, and supports our external partner with complex assignment structuring, customer concerns and escalations, and exception management and decisions. This role reports into and requires close partnership with the Regional Mobilization Lead EMEA, as well as all cross functional partners involved in case management to realize the team’s vision of providing a delightful employee experience.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Provide advice and support to key BUHR partners and business leaders to structure assignments; recommending solutions on critical assignment package components balancing business investment with employee experience needs.

  • Close partnership with the business and the external vendor partner on complex assignment structuring and compliance requirements.

  • Partner with external providers in tax and immigration as well as internal partners within Benefits, Stock Administration, Corporate Tax, Payroll, IA Specialist and others to curate assignment packages that are aligned with J&J’s policy portfolio, philosophy and guiding principles

  • Work with internal process partners and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve issues such as compliance challenges, complex cases, customer experience, etc

  • Provide support and recommendations for exception management, partnering closely with the Mobilization Governance and Policy Team

  • Oversee vendor management as it relates to individual cases

  • In partnership with GS IA Specialist, ensure timely resolution of escalated inquiries or concerns from employees, internal process partners (BUHR, TA, GS), People Leaders and external vendor partners

  • Support Talent Acquisition, BUHR, GS and others with talent mobilization and related inquiries (immigration, corporate tax)

  • Support Regional Mobilization Leader EMEA with delivery of executive support, assignment structuring and day-to-day operations.

  • Work collaboratively in conjunction with Global Services IA Specialist and internal process partners and external vendors to proactively support the seamless execution of end-to-end international assignment lifecycle.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills required:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent (preferred)

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Talent Mobility, including assignment structuring (home and host country models)

  • Good understanding of key mobility areas like tax, social security, immigration, and cross-border work

  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders and building strong relationships across different cultures and regions and the ability to navigate a matrixed organization

  • Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex topics clearly and professionally

  • Experience in stakeholder management and influencing decision-making

  • Strong vendor management experience to reach efficient solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Deep expertise in complex mobility assignment structuring

  • Knowledge of corporate tax and assignee tax issues

  • Ability to operate effectively in a global, multicultural environment

  • Skilled at balancing regional specifics while collaborating across regions to ensure a consistent, global employee experience

  • GMS-T Certification: preferred but not required
