Description

The IT Solutions Specialist is focused on supporting the organization’s systems and hardware that are crucial to the daily operation of users. This includes being a supporting resource for users and managing tools that aid in the proper functionality and capability of devices. They are active in maintaining security and secure practices of our digital environment and physical hardware.

Requirements

• Device Management
• Procure, configure, and deploy devices (laptops, tablets, mobile phones, peripherals) for new and existing users.
• Maintain accurate records of all hardware and software assets.
• Manage enrollment, configuration, and compliance policies in Microsoft Intune.
• Ensure accuracy and currency of Apple Business Manager and Samsung Knox accounts. 
• User & Identity Management
• Manage user accounts, permissions, and access policies in Microsoft Entra (Azure Active Directory).
• Ensure proper onboarding and offboarding processes are followed.
• Maintain call flows and rules and user accounts, numbers, and extensions in the business phone system
• Ensure group membership and user profile information stays accurate and current based on needs of the business and user roles
• Technical Support and Training
• Provide first-level support to employees for device, software, and connectivity issues.
• Escalate advanced issues to our managed services partner as needed.
• Digital and physical presence to assist with the continual education and troubleshooting needed by users.
• Establish and maintain regular communications with the executives, department heads and end users regarding pertinent IT activities and needs.
• Define and maintain policies regarding approved allocation and usage of company provided technology.
• Vendor & Partner Liaison
• Act as the primary bridge between the company and the contracted managed services provider.
• Track support tickets, service quality, and ensure alignment with business needs.
• Stay in good standing other partner contacts (Verizon, Apple, etc.)
• Security & Compliance
• Administer and monitor the company’s digital security training program.
• Ensure employees remain compliant with cybersecurity policies and procedures.
• Respond to, and investigate, security events and/or inquiries
• Maintain proper access levels and functionality of building security and access system
• Reporting & Analytics
• Prepare and share regular reports with management on system usage, device performance, spend, and user activity.
• Provide insights into technology trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Project Coordination
• Support the rollout of technical projects and provide updates on progress and risks to management.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and enhance employee productivity through technology.
• Other
• Keep current with the latest technologies and best business practices
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Experience

• Experience with Microsoft 365 ecosystem and Microsoft Entra/Azure AD/Intune.
• Hands-on knowledge of device setup and troubleshooting (Windows, macOS, iOS, Android).
• Familiarity with cybersecurity awareness programs a plus.
• 2+ years of IT support or systems administration experience preferred.
• Bachelors degree in an analytical field

Physical Requirements 

• Travel within Indiana up to 25% of the time
• Available during business hours with flexibility in emergency situations arise
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
