POSITION SUMMARY:     Maintains and repairs equipment, fixtures, and structures on property in accordance with supervisory instruction. Maintain property grounds in clean and orderly manner in keeping with established quality standards.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES:

 

  • Begins working on standard Daily Maintenance Checklist, unless instructed differently by General Manager.
  • Maintains, repairs, and overhauls equipment and machinery, and reports problems to General Manager.
  • Responds to house calls promptly, completing maintenance tasks requested by guests.
  • Paint walls, ceilings, fixtures, building, or equipment to prevent corrosion as needed.
  • Hang wall fixtures, replaces light bulbs and filters, and shampoos carpets.
  • Remove garbage from hotel to dumpster.
  • Make local deliveries and pick-ups as directed.
  • Complete maintenance request form for each completed assignment.
  • Maintains inventory of tools and supplies.
  • Conducts routine inspections of hotel and determines maintenance needs and completes the Preventative Maintenance Checklist.
  • Ensures that parking lot, carport, pool and grounds areas are maintained according to established quality standards.
  • Reports to General Manager prior to clocking out, records pertinent shift comments into Front Desk Log.
  • Responsible for recording and implementing of key control policies, practices, procedures.
  • Performs other duties as needed or assigned.
  • Maintains compliance with company policies, practices, procedures and safety standards.
  • Reports in a proper uniform, which is cleaned and pressed.
  • Attends and participates in staff meetings.
  • Attends housekeeping meetings to exchange information regarding preventative maintenance ideas.
  • Works in accordance with General Manager to set up and complete special and on going projects and maintains a preventative maintenance program.
  • Keeps current on all information pertaining to any equipment or machinery on property. Might attend seminars if General Manager feels it is pertinent to job performance.
  • Sees that all sidewalks along building, side entrances, and front entry, are kept clean and clear of debris and/or snow and ice.
  • Other duties as assigned.
