Major/Essential Functions
- Manage SEVIS records and ensure institutional compliance with federal reporting and recordkeeping requirements.
- Advise F-1 students and TTUHSC departments on matters related to enrollment, employment eligibility (CPT/OPT), travel, and immigration maintenance.
- Coordinate F-1 compliance with academic programs and student services in a manner consistent with TTUHSC’s educational mission.
- Under the supervision of the Managing Director, assist with the preparation and filing of temporary non-immigrant petitions and permanent immigrant petitions, including: H-1B, O-1, TN, PERM Labor Certification, and I-140 (EB-1, EB-2).
- Collect and analyze information from employees and departments, draft supporting documentation using established templates and procedures.
- Review and compile petition packets for filing with appropriate government agencies, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Track case statuses and communicate case progress to stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date, confidential records (electronic and hard copy) for all immigration matters in accordance with federal and institutional policies.
- Monitor visa status, filing deadlines, and renewals; input and maintain accurate data in tracking systems.
- Support I-9 and E-Verify compliance for international employees, including document follow-up and system updates.
- Assist in internal audits, document reviews, and institutional reporting related to immigration.
- Collaborate with Human Resources, legal, academic departments, and university leadership to ensure alignment of immigration practices with institutional priorities.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of internal procedures and best practices for hiring and retaining foreign national employees.
- Draft employment verification letters, travel support letters, and other immigration-related documents.
- Respond promptly to immigration inquiries from faculty, staff, and students.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience preparing filings for H-1B, O-1, TN, PERM Labor Certification, and I-140 immigrant petitions.
- Prior service as a SEVIS DSO or ARO with working knowledge of F and J visa regulations.
- Familiarity with U.S. immigration policies relevant to higher education and academic healthcare institutions.
- Proficiency in immigration case management systems and/or document tracking software.
- Background in higher education, human resources, or international student services.
