JOB TITLE: Senior Risk Analyst

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Senior Risk Analyst is responsible for overseeing the functions dedicated toward the mitigation of merchant loss and ensuring merchant adherence to Card Brand, Sponsor Bank, and government regulations. The associate in this role will monitor merchant activity daily to prevent activity that will cause financial loss or reputational harm to the business. The associate will support others on the Risk management team to continually strive to protect the company from financial loss.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Monitor Risk queues daily and action accordingly.
• Complete Sponsor Bank SARS reporting and Card Brand Risk related reporting.
• Work with the Card Brands and Banks to resolve escalations.
• Maintain department workflow and assist in maintaining services levels. Provide guidance to initiate improvements to enhance effectiveness and productivity.
• Manage updates for compliance and regulatory changes that impact Risk.
• Maintain awareness of industry fraud trends and/or changes related to risk management practices.
• Effectively communicate with merchants, agents, and management to address risk issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Understanding of risk management concepts and practices.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work as an individual and collaborate effectively as a team member.
• High degree of organization with the ability to prioritize and manage a workforce.
• Experience in reading and analyzing financial statements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE):

• 3+ years of industry or related experience
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance or Risk Management
