Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients presenting to urgent care
• Perform common procedures such as laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, and wound care
• Order, review, and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe appropriate medications and provide patient education
• Document encounters accurately in the EMR
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure efficient operations and patient satisfaction
Schedule
This PRN role requires 2 to 4 twelve-hour shifts per month to meet clinic needs. Shifts are scheduled based on your availability and the clinic’s coverage requirements.
There are no on-call obligations or minimum weekly hours. Weekend availability is appreciated.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation: Hourly pay range $55 to $70 with additional productivity incentives available for providers based on patient volume and quality.
Malpractice: The Company pays for malpractice insurance for all PRN providers.
Optional Benefits: Eligibility to participate in retirement savings and employee assistance programs may be available depending on shift volume and employment status.
Flexible Scheduling: Work when you want, choose from available shifts without committing to a full-time schedule.
Qualifications
• Licensed FNP-C or PA-C in North Carolina
• Active DEA, BLS, and ACLS certifications
• 1+ year of urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience preferred
• DOT certification a plus
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and patient service skills
• Required: Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Certification
