Who are you? 

You are a caring and dedicated professional who has the unique respect and understanding that everyone has a unique path to recovery. You have strong working knowledge of the drug and alcohol system, along with behavioral health services, to best support program outcome initiatives.

The Criminal Justice Client Services Coordinator supports client of the Hancock Public Defender by connecting them with essential mental health, substance use disorder, and community-based services. This role involves conducting screenings, coordinating referrals, and ensuring clients can access necessary resources. Collaborate with attorneys, support staff, and external service providers to enhance client outcomes while addressing systemic barriers to treatment and rehabilitation. This position focuses on care coordination and resource navigation for people who have a misdemeanor or felony record including juveniles. 

You have the ability to regularly use various computer apps including Microsoft Office, our HRIS, EHR, and other online systems, with multiple logins often simultaneously

You have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in social work, psychology, criminal justice, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in behavioral health, social services, or criminal justice settings
  • Demonstrate knowledge of local mental health, substance use treatment services, and available community resources.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, organizational, and crisis management skills
  • Have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
