What you’ll do:
- Collect, analyze, investigate, document and report the results of water samples and air samples from all plant sites to ensure compliance with regulations, including all other record keeping & collections responsibilities
- Determine permits needed as well as facilitate the application for the proper permits at all new and current facilities with regards to storm water and air permitting, including other requirements, as needed
- Coordinate with and train Operations teams on best management practices at all locations to ensure proper compliance and reporting is executed
- Act as a liaison to the TCEQ, other regulatory agencies and third-party consultants on behalf of the company while performing weekly, monthly, bi-annual and annual site inspections and analysis in order to remain current on all Environmental Standards
- Facilitate Environmental department budget and reduce costs on all goods and third party’s services used to maintain compliance
- Research and assist in the oversight of all other Environmentally related permits such as waste, in addition to any other permits needed as a result of new business
- Performs other duties as assigned or required
What you’ll need:
- Self-motivated, proactive and great attention to detail
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel/ Word/Outlook)
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and company safety manual; must maintain personal protective equipment; follow company and client safety and security rules.
- Ability to communicate, supervise processes and work with people; support others in a teamwork environment
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work in office and in field
- Able to stand and/or sit for long periods
- Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. on an occasional basis
- Able to stoop, kneel, and crawl in awkward positions
- Able to work at heights exceeding 10 feet on an occasional basis
- Exposure to loud noise, machinery, chemicals, fumes, odors, etc.
