Oversee purchasing activities for the business unit (plant/complex). Set inventory levels for maintenance parts/supplies, packaging materials, and plant supplies. Assist Live Operations, Fleet Operations, Hatcheries and other auxiliary departments and locations with procurement efforts. Oversee Managers' and Supervisors' activities responsible for maintenance parts rooms, dry warehouses, supply rooms, garage parts rooms and deliveries to internal departments, Assist as needed with facility services (janitorial, landscaping, painting, signage, waste removal etc.).  Monitor and report Purchasing Department performance, create and monitor department budgets and KPI's.

Duties/Activities Required by Job

  • Oversee purchasing activities for the business unit (plant/complex). Set inventory levels for maintenance parts/supplies, packaging materials, and plant supplies. Assist Live Operations, Fleet Operations, Hatcheries and other auxiliary departments and locations with procurement efforts.
  • Oversee Managers' and Supervisors' activities responsible for maintenance parts rooms, dry warehouses, supply rooms, garage parts rooms and deliveries to internal departments, responsible for training new employees
  • Create and monitor department budgets.  Meet with vendors to develop and Improve products.
  • Monitor and report Purchasing Department performance, and KPI's. Analytics
  • Promotes safety policies and standards for department and projects.

Educations/Experience Requirements

  • Preferred Bachelor or Associates Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5-7 yrs.
  • Inventory Management, Negotiations, Financial Software.  Association for Supply Chain Management Certification - Certified Supply Chain Professional
