Facilities Technician presso Millat Industries

The Facilities Technician will report to the Facilities Manager and be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance in and around the Kettering, OH location.

Essential Job Functions

• Replace and empty chip bins as needed in the manufacturing areas. Load full containers on truck at scheduled times
• Clean and maintain filters, and fans in various areas of the facility
• Run floor scrubber per cleaning schedule
• Maintain and track proper disposal of used coolant/oil containers
• Empty trash cans and recycle bins on a daily basis. Loads cardboard into baler and secures full bales to be loaded onto truck with scrap metal.
• Clean windows and other areas per cleaning schedule
• Assist with outside work including yard cleaning, building upkeep, snow removal, etc.
• Manage event setup of tables, chairs, lights, etc.
• Occasional Cleaning of Facilities; e.g., Bathrooms, Breakrooms, Conference Rooms, Entrances, etc.
• Participates in department 5S objectives.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Classification Requirements

• High school graduate with previous facilities experience a plus;
• Must have ability and knowledge of hand tools, power tools;
• Must have a good work ethic;
• Must be dependable and flexibly with a good attendance record;
• Must be detailed oriented;
• Must stand, walk, push, pull, reach overhead, and bend to floor;
• Must have ability to operate a forklift and aerial lift;
• Exerts between 10 and 50 pounds on frequent basis;
• Always adheres to Company safety policies.
