Essential Job Duties:

• Measure, cut, and laminate vinyl or other materials to specified sizes for sign faces.
• Perform vinyl application using both wet and dry techniques on various materials.
• Operate and maintain equipment such as vinyl rollers, laminators, plotters, and digital printers.
• Ensure signs are properly labeled with the correct job numbers.
• Follow safety guidelines and assist in maintaining a safe working environment.
• Report any accidents or safety hazards to the supervisor.
• Assist in troubleshooting and improving shop processes.
• Operate plotters using computer software and manage job travelers/blueprints as needed.
• Maintain regular attendance and assist with shop cleanup, including emptying trash and recycling bins.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support other departments as needed.
• Assist in managing inventory levels and maintaining equipment.

Qualifications and Training:

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Previous experience operating hand tools and basic machinery.

Skills and Abilities:

• Ability to read and interpret a tape measure, scale ruler, and blueprints.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including bending, lifting (up to 50 pounds), climbing ladders, and crawling on knees.
• Basic math skills, including working with fractions and calculating square footage.
• Knowledge of sign fabrication materials and processes is preferred.
• Willingness to learn and apply lean manufacturing concepts.

Working Conditions:

• You will be required to wear safety glasses at all times and often cut resistant gloves.
• Work may involve repetitive motions and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Physical tasks include bending, stooping, squatting, pushing, pulling, and crawling.
• The work environment may include exposure to temperature fluctuations, noise, and humidity.
• Hearing protection may be required in certain areas.
• The position may require standing for extended periods of time.
