About the Role:

The Housekeeping Supervisor at ALOFT Bentonville plays a pivotal role in ensuring the cleanliness, orderliness, and overall presentation of the hotel’s guest rooms and public areas. This position is responsible for leading and motivating the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of hygiene and guest satisfaction in a fast-paced arts, entertainment, and recreation environment. The supervisor will oversee daily operations, coordinate schedules, and manage inventory to ensure efficient workflow and resource utilization. They will also conduct regular inspections to guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies. Ultimately, this role contributes directly to creating a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere that enhances the guest experience and supports the hotel’s reputation for excellence.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of experience in housekeeping, with a minimum of 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and guests.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in the hospitality industry, particularly in hotels or resorts.
  • Certification in hospitality management or related field.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and scheduling tools.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and best practices in sanitation.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of housekeeping staff to ensure timely and thorough cleaning of guest rooms and public areas.
  • Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to maintain high performance and adherence to company standards.
  • Conduct daily inspections of rooms and public spaces to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, placing orders as necessary to avoid shortages.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to address guest requests and resolve any housekeeping-related issues promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on housekeeping activities, staff performance, and maintenance needs.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations at all times.
