The Equipment Supervisor is responsible to assist with the day-to-day operations within a designated market. This role involves overseeing the movement, storage, and maintenance of vehicles and equipment, as well as supporting operations personnel to ensure efficient and safe operations.
Essential Job Functions
- Maintain and track all Lowe’s Assets, including box trucks, day cabs, trailers, and moffets.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
- Coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Update inventory records and manage equipment databases.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Communicate with drivers and other team members to address equipment needs and issues.
- Collaborate with the operations team to ensure accuracy and timely records of equipment inventory.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Transportation, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in transportation yard operations or a related field.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
