Your qualifications and skills

 
  • Check all documentation for accuracy (packing lists, conversions, addresses and other related data).  Separate documentation packets as needed and distribute. 
  • Enter data to computer to generate bills of lading or air bills for shipments.  Match test certifications with orders and distribute as designated. 
  • Generate shipping reports and maintain files relating to all shipping documentation. 
  • Communicate with designated parties internally to determine specific shipping instructions as required. 
  • Calculate dimensions and weights as required.  Check the status of shipments in transit as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries, provide directions and other information to drivers.
  • Prepare any range of special or periodic reports relating to departmental activity.
  • Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
  • Maintains work area in a clean and orderly condition in accordance with 5 S standards.
  • Requires the ability to perform all duties within limitation of the standard methods and procedures, and in accordance with strict adherence to HSE, quality and productivity requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
  • Support packing area as needed or designate

Experience & Knowledge Requirements:

 
  • Passing Forklift exam based on internal requirements
  • Strong Mathematics Skills
  • Strong typing and PC Skills (Data entry, word processing, excel spreadsheet)
  • Basic knowledge of shipping procedures
  • Excellent Attention to Detail
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of process related standards
  • Proven ability to develop successful partnerships with internal and external team members
