Executive Director - Outpatient Centers
Position Summary:
The Executive Director for Outpatient Centers leads structure, optimization, and performance management for multiple service lines across all centers. This executive ensures efficient center operations and coordinates resources for high-quality care, innovative projects, and operational excellence in a fast-paced, iterative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive daily operational performance improvements using Lean Six Sigma methods across centers.
- Build and organize teams through skills matching, succession planning, and sound organizational structure for center-level transformation.
- Launch and oversee innovation projects at centers, ensuring successful deployment and adherence by staff to project protocols and standards.
- Use strong data analysis and technology skills to interpret operational trends and support evidence-based decisions.
- Direct and monitor rapid, week-long project sprints, committing to high-level project management skills without requiring PMP certification.
- Collaboratively develop and expand service lines across centers with clinical, technology, and administrative stakeholders.
- Oversee revenue cycle management and digital transformation initiatives to maximize performance and efficiency.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, staff engagement, adaptability, and resilience, embedding new innovations into center workflows.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to ensure operational alignment with broader strategic and performance goals.
Qualifications:
- Experience organizing teams with skills matching and succession plans.
- Demonstrated ability to launch and roll out innovation projects, with strategies for staff training and adherence.
- Advanced ability in technology and operational data interpretation.
- Lean Six Sigma practitioner; proven process optimization in healthcare operations.
- Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams through change.
- Experience developing and scaling new service lines for outpatient/ambulatory care.
- Knowledgeable in revenue cycle operations, digital health, and EHR.
- High-level project management experience in iterative, high-velocity settings (PMP not required).
- Bachelor’s in healthcare administration, business, or related discipline; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive healthcare operations leadership, focused on outpatient centers.
