About the Position
Full time Laborer – this is an entry level position in a large flour milling plant at Mississauga, Ontario
Duties and Responsibilities
- This position also includes general sanitation duties
- Following established GMPs for our food safety programs
- Adhering to GMP, HACCP, Food Safety and Safety Rules is essential
- Duties include but are not limited to material handling, light maintenance, and cleaning
- Must be able to work from heights, stand, sit, kneel, crawl, and bend
- May be required to lift 55 lbs. / 22 kg
- Also needs to be able to work in a variety of hot, cold, or wet conditions
- Shift work, overtime and weekends will be required.
- All other duties required
- Basic computer skills, numeracy and record accuracy are also necessary to succeed at this role
- There is room for further advancement in this role
- In order to meet the requirements of this job posting the applicant will be cross-trained in all operational positions to facilitate operational needs
- To be successful the candidate will be advancing towards an Operator position over time as business requires
- The expectation being that the successful applicant will be competent when working with machinery, including the ability to safely troubleshoot operational issues
- High school education or equivalent is preferred
- Work in accordance with local/provincial legislation
- Understands and is accountable for full compliance with safety and other EHS requirements
- All candidates must have authorization and the ability to maintain authorization to legally work in Canada.
- Relocation support is not available for this position.
