The Delivery Driver plays a crucial role in representing the company, directly interacting with customers and ensuring the prompt, safe, and efficient delivery of products. Utilizing a company-provided vehicle, the driver is responsible for transporting goods from the customer’s place of business to specified locations. This position requires a high degree of professionalism, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to customer satisfaction.

Compensation: 

$19.00 per hour

Schedule: 

Tuesday & Thursday

4:30pm - 12:00am (or possibly later)

Requirements

Key Responsibilities:  

• Operate Company Vehicle: Safely operate the assigned company vehicle, adhering to all traffic and safety regulations to ensure the protection of yourself, company property, and the public.
• Deliver Customer Items: Accurately deliver a variety of items for customers in accordance with scheduled routes and instructions. Ensure that all deliveries are completed in a timely and professional manner.
• Load and Unload Goods: Carefully load items onto the vehicle, securing cargo as necessary to prevent damage. 
• Customer Service: Provide exceptional service by maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor. 
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate delivery logs, obtain signatures as proof of delivery, and report any discrepancies, damages, or issues encountered during transit.
• Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine checks on the company vehicle to ensure it is in good working order. Report any maintenance issues promptly and keep the vehicle clean and presentable at all times.
• Compliance: Adhere strictly to company policies, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations regarding the operation of commercial vehicles and the handling of goods.
• Problem-Solving: Proactively address and resolve any delivery challenges, such as navigating traffic, handling difficult access locations, or managing inclement weather conditions, always prioritizing safety.
• Teamwork and Communication: Maintain clear communication with dispatchers, and management regarding route changes, delays, or incidents. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure overall operational efficiency.

Qualifications:  

• Valid driver’s license in good standing.
• Clean driving record with no major violations.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver, courier, or in a related logistics/distribution role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of local roads, traffic patterns, and navigation systems.
• Ability to safely lift and move items of varying sizes and weights, up to a specified maximum (e.g., 50 lbs).
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable and punctual, with a strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail.
• Basic math and record-keeping abilities.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
